It's a word to express joy or happiness. When you shoot someone in the back (on-line of course) you generally make a noise of happiness that is not necessarily a word. This is a w00t.

Actually, as I mentioned in another thread somewhere, our spellings for words actually derive from the French versions of words, and the Americans are actually using the original English spellings for words. So at the end of the day the French are to blame!
As for that word of the year. That just shows how far the education system has fallen in recent years.
BTW, I wonder what the most popular word is on this forum. :hmmm:
A close run between Amiga, PS3 or 360. Closely followed by many strings of words bashing the French.
French Bashing a game the whole world enjoys.
Unless you are talking about classic French cars and some current ones, then i will defend them.
Personally I would have thought the word Amiga would be pretty popular myself!
I don't mind the word w00t! :hide: lol. But saying that, it's not like I use it in everyday speech
