I probably should explain how I got this (to try and validate it & give others a chance of beating it ):

I spent the whole game aiming to get the Stone Bone lit up and open up the vault prize. I did occasionally hit other things, but the main challenge was to get the lights lit and then goto the vault. When I got to a level called 'Ghost Hunt' each bumper and light was worth 1,000,000 points. Inadvertently I shot the tower and got a 14,000,000 jackpot. Thinking to hell with the million, I shot it again (a reflex shot i.e. straight away without hitting anything else) only to be awarded a super jackpot this time of 50,000,000! Add this to the 11,000,000 I got from the bumpers and there was some 75 million points scored in 30 seconds (which is more than the previous whole game scores). Plus if you beat the high score (think it must have been about 100 million and you get an extra ball.

Ghost Hunt, is that the fifth vault prize? In earlier games I only got as far as the fourth, which is the 10 million bonus. First is 5 million, second is Tower Hunt, third is Extra Ball lit. Back in the day, I remember I got all the way to the Grim Reaper several times. That's the final one, I no longer remember how it worked, but do remember you could get insane scores from it. Just from counting the ghost images on the board, that would be the 8th vault prize. Would be cool to get that far again.

Guess I'll have to give it a try now.
