    Spectrum Analyzer Software

So at the moment I am now trying to separate acapellas from instrumentals in songs. I am looking for some software that can allow me to load a song (in wav or mp3) and can show me the levels of different frequencies throughout the song.

Does anyone know of software that can do this? Funny enough, I am going to be doing Fast Fourier Transforms soon...lol. Maybe I could eventually make one of my own...

The free software Audacity is a wave form editor so may contain enough features for what you need. Failing that Sony Sound Forge is the next step and is a very good wave form editor. But if even that won't do what you need then Adobe Audition would be the next step up and I can guarantee that would be able to do it.

If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!
