Do you also notice something about the ball in the sequel? Looks very familiar don't you think? I wonder if the designers of the Boing demo were fans of the game? Or vice versa.

Indeed, very intriguing
The visuals from that game would make a very cool Amiga demo. Having the Amiga ball rolling into the 3D landscape just as in the game, and with text scrollers weaving their way across the landscape, with the letters finally falling into and around the landscape so that the ball is dodging the text as it scatters around the screen. That would look really cool.
Way beyond my Amiga coding abilities though.
