    And here we go again. Actually it has been a while since the last version was released. Doesn't look like there are that many changes to the supported rom set though so the update should be small.

    If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!

    Ok...so now I have broadband, I am extremely interested in getting MAME stuff. How big is it if you are starting from scratch? (Braces for extremely cringe worthy pain)

    About 15GB for the main ROMS. There's also CHDs available which are hard drive images of machines but these make for much bigger downloads. You'll also need a pretty decent PC to run the CHD games. The standard ROM pack will get you the majority of the older games.

    EDIT: Just checked the MAME .117 torrent is 15.83GB.

    Thats not TOO bad lol...except it goes over my monthly limit...is it broken down into sets or just one big one?

    One big one. You could always download 50% of it this month and 50% next month? The updates tend to be around 100MB so once you've downloaded a full version it's pretty easy to keep updated.

    Yep, just pause it, the torrent is also for free at PD. But why can't you d/l in one time, don't you have storage?

    The update is bigger than I thought, joining is at 95,n%.
