I meant stability as an OS, rather than compatibility. 3.1 wasn't really compatible with much at all outside of office applications as most were run directly from DOS in those days, and by the time Me was released it shared the same compatibility as 98 SE did. But it was very unstable. It hated Photoshop and Flash as I remember both crashed constantly on the system being used by the guy sat next to me at the time. Luckily as the person responsible for computer installation and hardware purchases at the time I made sure my own PC had 2000 Pro installed
