Nice. I will have to get hold of that once I've cleared some HD space.

And as the second volume has been released it sounds promising that an English release of the final volume will happen. It is always such a danger with Japanese RPG series that the west sees the first ported and then we never see the rest.

How many games of the .Hack series are there? wasnt it four?

The first series were 4 games, this series does have only 3. Take a look at the RPG list topic for further information.

It can definitely be a confusing series to begin with due to there being so many parts. All of them do follow on from each other, but the first 4 .hack games were 4 parts of the same storyline, and the current .hack//GU series that is running is a three part series that follows on from the original 4 but further into the future.

I just tested the game, and it seems that it has nothing more than vol 1. But I didn't compare both now. When you start you can walk at foot or use a bike while pressing [], which was fun, as the city was very large.
