Nowadays, I'm going to say "Whatever is available". Modern screens do a good enough job of scaling and are generally good quality and affordable. But I do still prefer the old CRTs for older computers.

Modern display all the way, but your experience will depend on the panel you choose. Always worth a read around the interweb for the best applications.
