    Happy Egg Day!

Happy Egg day to you all!

Do you celebrate Easter? Buy Easter Eggs?

Obviously it has become over commercialised by the USA like everything, but it's chocolate so of course.

We still buy Easter Eggs for each other and obviously for my son.

And as a huge Star Wars fan I've been trying to collect the Star Wars Kinder Egg figures that have been released this year. I already had 6 of the 10. I had some extra help in collecting them from a friend at work who's son was also buying them so he passed on the duplicates he had. My wife bought me 6 more for Easter and amazingly there were 3 figures I didn't have, so I only have one (Chewbacca) to find now.

Are there any Chocolate Easter Eggs unique to where you live?

Obviously here in the UK we have Cadbury's so get a lot of eggs themed around their bars such as Flake, Twirl and Buttons. But also Cadbury's Cream Eggs, which have to be one of the greatest Chocolate inventions of all time. And Mini Eggs. Great on cakes, in Chocolate cornflake nests etc.. And Terry's Chocolate Orange.

What did you do growing up?

When young we used to have to go to the Easter Church service. The whole family, including Grand parents, Cousins, Uncles and Aunts would all meet at the church, and then after all go out for a big meal at a local restaurant.

I'm not religious (even though I was raised CofE) so we definitely don't go to church, but we are having my parents over tomorrow for Roast Lamb. Plus Mum's 80s is in about a week so it's a birthday celebration too. Mother in law is now bed bound so we will just visit and take her a roast dinner tomorrow. My wife is currently busy making a birthday cake.

If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!

Definitely no church I resigned church some years ago, which didn't make my girlfriend happy at all, even had the discussion again yesterday, with some disagreement, as she still wants to marry, whole church thing, but obviously I can't, even though I asked her if we would get married in Finland, would they ask the paper? **** church, **** religion, sorry, but I think I told you once what happened here when my father still went to school in the 50s, priests were teachers and they got slapped badly every single day, thus basically all the people here born in the 40s hate and despise church.

So your mom is 1 year older than my dad, he just got his 79. Born 1947. My mom is born 1949.

Girlfriend is always setting up some easter decoration, if you would not tell me it's easter, I would probably forget. It's also not really celebrated in our family, I mean lately, my parents are in Belgium for the weekend, in Ciney, and my girlfriend wanted to go to Finland, as there is more of the celebration, but I'm still 1 week on sick leave because of my colon surgery, so no way to leave.

We are doing something here at home today ourselves, cooking and drinking champagne, we still have all those expensive ones that we bought and kept in the wine fridge, but at some point we have to check if they're still good to drink, don't wanna waste money on that stuff, still have the 1996 De Venoge Louis XV Brut Millesime which was way over 200? and is now 30 years old. Also still have a bottle of the Perrier-Jou?t Belle Epoque Ros?, which was, well, 360?. Don't wanna pour that one into the sink.

Yesterday we were quize boozed, had too much wine

I remember having the cadbury eggs, but not the cream ones, the ones filled with liquid chocolate, man, that's a dream come true. Finland has this Fazer, best chocolates, and they have eggs, in the egg shell, and you can buy them in the usual egg box, don't know how that's called. So they look like a normal egg, you open them like a normal egg, but inside is just pure chocolate, and it's awesome.

Fazer Mignon eggs are a renowned Finnish Easter delicacy, produced since 1896, featuring real chicken eggshells filled with a rich, handmade almond-hazelnut nougat. These solid, hazelnut-chocolate truffle treats are a staple of Finnish Easter celebrations, with over 2 million sold annually.
