There's news that Turrican is hopefully going to be remade! Ok maybe this is more personal excitment but the game does have a good following and it is one of the best series of all time (the 1st C64 game being one of my favourite all time games).
Great news after the 3D game was cancelled years ago.

If they manage to get it looking and playing like Metroid, it will indeed get some attention.

It will definitely be interesting to see how they translate the originals 2D gameplay into 3D. And if they will still focus on the platforming nature of the original, or move it more towards a FPS style.
