At episode 6 at the moment, I think it's fine, well done indeed, besides the CGI bear, I thought that was atrocious. Some unnecessary stuff too, like trying to be gruesome when there's no need to show at all, or just cut it shorter.

Walton Goggins is of course fantastic, first series I saw him was in Justified, plays the baddies really well

Ohhh, I did wonder why my FB feed was showing a number of memes about bears.

This is an excellent point, skilled film-making or story telling leave the imagination to fill in those bits. I don't mind a bit of gore, but when it becomes just gratuitous it feels silly and even perhaps lame.

So I'm now 6 episodes in & could take it or leave it tbh....

I dare say I'll keep watching it.... if only just for the gore & cheese factor which it spews quite monumentally.
