I don't use Wifi at all for any fixed place hardware. I try to have it all connected via Ethernet. Just more consistent speeds at maximum bandwidth. Plus far less latency. I've never encountered Wifi managing full speed, even when right next to the access point.
The only devices I use wifi are security cameras, door bells, Echos, smart speakers, phones, tablets and printers etc. Things that don't need much bandwidth and even a poor signal is enogh.
I've also noticed an annoying behaviour with Wifi. This only became apparent when I upgrade to Gigabit fibre. My Smartphone f.ex. will sometimes be connected far slower then it should be. A test and the download is only 60mbps. Switching wifi off and on again on the Smartphone and retesting and it's at over 400mbps. I just checked and its actually reporting it's connected at 740mbps at the moment. I think it might randomly sometimes connect at 2.4 and not 5Ghz. Apparently my phone does also support Wifi6.
Playstations have also never been great using wifi either. Download speeds were never great over wifi on PS3, PS4 or PS5. But both my PS4 and 5 over ethernet download at over 100MB/s which is great.
