It's a shame such short notice & your Birthday is mid week. - We could have squeezed a weekend in ourselves for a break. Deb & I celebrate 25 years on the 19th & we're considering all sorts of events to remember it by.
OMG at the prices for some of the suites at your Hotel. 7.4K for the Jaguar Suite.

That does look a great hotel but those prices are quite mad. Cheapest I could see was £890 pn.

    I wouldn't pay that for a week!

Have to spend your money for something, it’s not growing anyways, so rather spend it.

You need the money first though.

Indeed. And nice to earn enough to afford such things.

Sadly at the moment we are facing big energy price increases from about £960 per year to over £2400. And interest rates are in danger of increasing to over 6%. So can't spend too much in case we need the extra to cover these big increases.

Plus there are lots of UK companies going out on strike over pay increases and working rights. Royal Mail is out on strike for a further 19 days between October and December, which means I won't get paid for those days for that job.

Not great in the UK at the moment.

London has some great lebo restaurants. I'm speculating here, but I reckon the variety of choice in London far exceeds what's available in Luxembourg (no offense intended to luxembourg)

I was not ready for it (I hated mash back then)

How was the game, and the stadium, DC?

Did you get to try those magic beer glasses that fill from the bottom upwards?

The game was great although we lost, leading 20-3 and everything looking sound, ending up losing 27-22, was not so great anymore.

The stadium is awesome, and so was our 3 course lunch in the stadium restaurant. Attendance was a bit over 62.000 people. After the game there was a lot going on and we were strolling through the bars with all the fans, Corona included I guess. My nose started running yesterday evening and then was completely blocked later and I had problems sleeping. I feel a bit bad today, girlfriend went shopping as we have a fully equipped kitchen in the suite, so we can prepare something here.

The weather is so fantastic but it’s also very windy, I guess that’s where my cold comes from. Hopefully it will get better as we have a reservation tomorrow for my birthday in the Michelin star Indian restaurant here in the hotel, the Quilon.

And yes JT, it’s true, we don’t have all those different restaurants in Luxembourg but loads of English pubs where I can eat my fish’n chips whenever I want. I think we have Lebanese though. But it was the first day, it was late, the restaurant was 100m away and not any other restaurant around had a table available.

And Sheppard’s pie btw I make myself at home
