    MorphOS on Mac Mini

Have anyone of you tried using MorphOS on one of those old Mac Mini's?

I have one up and running now and it is working great. Must say MorphOS has come a long way and it feels more stable and sturdy than AmigaOS 4.x. Lot's of applications is bundled with the OS, so it is easy to get started right away. Also great that one can try the OS for free to see if one likes it or not.

    Any other MorphOS users here?

I played around with MorphOS a very long time ago and really liked it, but at the time Mac Mini prices shot through the roof and I didn't bother buying one.

At the moment I'm more interested in the continued AROS developments.

If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!

I've pondered trying it out on my PowerMac G4, but I didn't like the way the license tethers you to one machine.

I don't have any Mac Minis, just a PowerMac G4, and I now have an iMac G5 which is surplus to requirements.

You can try it out for free. The OS slows down after 30 minutes of use, but as it takes just a few seconds to reboot, it is not a problem. If you like it you can register it via the register tool included and then there are no more slowdowns.

The mac mini was a nice little unit, small and subtle.

Still running MorphOS on the Mac Mini here, but also on a PowerBook G4 laptop. The new web browswer Wayfarer is great and makes it possible to use the web pretty well on these systems. If you have an old PPC Mac lying around, I recommend giving it a shot.

There is also the Iris e-mail program:

Caesar III was ported too, so now one can enjoy some classic strategic action as well.

Glad its still going well. I still have the surplus iMac G5. I should try installing MorphOS on there sometime. I recently did a fresh install of MacOSX Tiger on it, but it will be good to have something less Appley on it as well.

MorphOS will run super fast on that computer! I don't think it is officially supported, but people run MorphOS on it:

With Wayfarer you can even use YouTube on that one.
