I don’t update every version anymore, the last one I have is 190, and I’ll probably update after 5 versions or even only 10.

I always used to update religiously with each release but i think in the last 2 years where I've had less time to play games as i want to concentrate on renovating the house I've not bothered so much. I will again once the house is finished. Also want to plan a new MAME cabinet build too.

Don't want a cabinet anymore, first of all no space, secondly, I would not really use it.

Still have to configure a lot of my HyperSpin setup, didn't have time lately. Plus I have MAME running on my PS3, where I can play on the beamer, which is awesome, only caveat is that I cannot use my X-Arcade anymore, as you need a USB one, and there's no option with connection cables, I wrote them, I would have to buy a complete new one, it's not that expensive anymore though, but still, it's also fine with controllers.

My X-Arcade was the original version with PS/2 keyboard and serial port connectors. I purchased a usb upgrade from the maker. It came with a new controller board and usb connectors. I had to open the controller up and disconnect the old board and then wire up the new usb board. It worked perfectly.

Hm, they said it wouldn’t work? Can you point me to the controller board you bought.
