    UK Flooding December 2015

I hope any of our members living in the current flooded areas of the UK are safe and haven't been directly affected.

Steve, I know you are in the affected Yorkshire area. I hope you and your family are safe

From first hand experience, of being flooded out of my house twice within the last 3 years, I know only too well how horrible the experience is. You can only hold water back for so long. It's better to just move what you can upstairs and stay dry and warm.

I also hope no one has been caught up in the US tornadoes and the forest fires in both the US and Australia.

I've heard of the flooding, but I'm not sure where it is. It certainly isn't round here . We haven't had any significant flooding here in Rotherham since summer 2007. Fortunately I live at the top of a hill, so our chances of getting flooded are virtually zero.

Flooding does seem to happen a lot in places where you don't expect it though.

Harrison, what's the risk of flooding at your new house?

Well, the whole of York is flooded and that's not really that far away from you. I think the closest to you I've heard about is Doncaster.

No flooding history where I now live, but still fairly low lying being on the coast.

Yea, not too bad. New job still in telecoms, planing a road trip around the east coast, take in the sea side and get some nice pics.
