    Urgent - Weather info London

    hi,
as you know, i have a trip set to London from 14 to 19 Feb.
I read that Uk have a really bad weather this week with lots of flood.

The plain will be at 9:45 AM here in Lisbon.
My main question is, should i try to delay the trip 2 days? I cannot delay more then that, and i must check with travel agency it there is no problem.

How bad is it in central London (area 1 and 2)? Weather reports don't show so much rain and wind from 14th to 19th... so should i go in 14 or wait 2 days?

    Thanks

2 days wouldn't change a thing fella. As of this mornings weather reports, there is still a whole months worth of rain yet to fall over the next 3 days.....

Bring a Wetsuit, Snorkel, some finning Flippers & a Rubber Dingy & you should be good to go.

    Harpoon Guns are not allowed.

The weather is crazy on a Global Scale fella. England is getting an Epic share of rain these winter months. My County no longer has a Rail Link to it since the onslaught of hurricane like storms these last weeks.

You should still be able to get around London okay. I guess you need to hear from a resident for a more accurate appraisal.

    Ok Kin, thanks.
Those pictures reminds me a lot the rail connection between Lisbon and Estoril. Very very similar, the tracks in some parts are almost on the sands of beach. Well but tracks here are ok not damage like those.
The weather here is not bad, in the morning there was sun, know there are clouds but no cold at all, and no rain. Kind a hard to figure how the hell you can have several week of raining with no sun at all. Here we don't have then more then 2 days without seen it.
Only Azores is having some trouble now, but it is far again from here.

We will bring rain cloths, don't now how to say it in English, but are made of that material that water can get through. I try it last week and it works very nice and they are comfort. Rain here compared with what you have there is much less, so we are not so used to be wet because of rain as you do, and i hat to have my cloths wet, so a nice anti-water cloth is a nice bet.

Central London is fairly well protected by the Thames barrier, so if you are only staying in central London you will be fine. The only thing that might be disrupted are the airports. If you are arriving in Heathrow Airport then make sure you check before you fly because the parts of the Thames that is badly flooding is all around Heathrow. At the moment it is still clear of danger, but that could change with tonight's expected bad weather again.

I also haven't heard of any issues with the Londin Underground. In past really bad weather some tube stations have flooded, but I don't think any have yet. You should be fine.

Just don't plan a river cruise!

I would also expect the London Eye to be shut due to strong winds (70+ MPH).

If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!

Looks like the 'Runaway Mine-Train' rollercoaster.

Also, London has a good flood barrier - they'll protect the city and let everything else go to shit though, because if it ain't London it ain't worth a damn (apparently).

But London is in a basin & the Thames burst it's banks with the water running off the land. I say open the flood gates & flush it out....
