If you still have the completed broken download, just delete those files and rejoin the new one with that set. It will complete much faster than trying to download the whole lot again, even if you have started to.

I don't really bother how fast it's completed, as I'm not using it anyway

How long since you last used MAME then? I fire it up quite regularly to play some favourites, and to explore some of the huge number of games I've still not ever played yet. So many supported now that really we shouldn't ever need to buy games.. but we do..
