Amigakit is a brilliant company to order stuff from. The forum member FOL works for them so you have a point of contact for any questions. They have a huge range of Amiga items available at reasonable prices, and offer great support too. Highly recommended. They are also a direct reseller for currently made hardware such as the items from Individual Computers such as the Indivision scan doublers, A604 ram expansion, and ACA A600 and A1200 accelerator cards. They don't just sell hardware, they are real Amiga community members who take care with their members and with the items they are selling. They go out of their way to answer questions, and also create their own software for some hardware items such as PCMCIA network cards and CF card readers.

As for their Amiga flash card readers. If you don't want the hassle of trying to set one of these up yourself then their bundle is a great deal. The cards are partitioned ready to go and their own custom software boots on first use and provides a menu with options on which version of Workbench to install, and it then asks for the workbench disks and installs and sets it up for you.

You can create your own flash card HDD for an Amiga much cheaper, but their bundle removes the hassles. Doing it yourself you have the option of either CF or SD cards. You can get a CF to IDE or an SD to IDE adapter from ebay for about £3 and a 4Gb card for under £10 (much larger if SD card), so it is cheaper. But then you had the hassles of setting the card up in WinUAE using a custom filesystem, installing the OS manually and whatever else you want on it.

If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!

    Hi mate,

I recommend ordering from AmigaKit with all of my heart. I've been a loyal customer for many years and the service has always been top notch. Ordered a Lyra II keyboard adapter and a CD32 PSU a short while ago. Very satsified.

AmigaKit is a good reliable company, if a little expensive.
