I decided to move a bit more into the 21st century!
I bought a Dell U2410 monitor. (See:
http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna...hs1&sku=294438)
It has an IPS panel, so should have good viewing angles and colour, its 24" so nice and big, and has a 16:10 resolution of 1920x1200. It doesn't have any shiny coatings, and the casing looks nice. None of these modern rounded edges, shiny plastic etc. I think the only downside will be the blue LED, but I think I can live with that.
In addition, it has a VGA socket, two DVI sockets, HDMI, DisplayPort, Component, and Composite. No shortage of inputs
.
Hopefully the composite port will allow me to use it as a large widescreen TV (I don't have HDTV yet).
I reckon this will last me a good few years
.
I bought it from a site called 'pcbuyit', for slightly less than the Dell price. Hopefully it will be here on Tuesday. I will post more when I get it.
