I did consider it, particularly because it is cheaper, but I decided against it mainly because of the inputs. The 2412 lacks lots of the inputs that the 2410 has. I think the only other major differences are that the 2412 is LED as opposed to CCFL (not bothered about this), and doesn't have a wide gamut panel (again, not too bothered by this as I use the 2410 in sRGB mode, but having Adobe RGB could come in handy I suppose).

OK, so the newer version has a better panel (LED backlight and wider gamut), but less inputs. So you get a better image, but compromise on connectability. Always annoying when they do that, especially as I would always be swayed by Adobe RGB.

Not quite Harrison. The newer one has the standard gamut panel, whereas the 2410 has the wide gamut panel.

Oh OK, so it is even more confusing a mixture of specs then because LED backlights produce a much more even backlight... so you would have to compromise on a more accurate colour panel, but poorer backlight, or better backlight but not as accurate colour. Mad. When will makers actually improve on monitor design, rather than chopping and changing around specs to meet a specific price point?
