    Worst Tech Adverts Ever

The site Expert Reviews posted this article today:

    http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/gener...h-adverts-ever

Do you agree with the selection of adverts they chose? I'm not sure myself.

Also quite annoying that they have picked on Commodore adverts!

I do however completely agree about the Microsoft cloud advert. I thought exactly the same when watching it. Also it is a great point they make about the old Apple Mac 1984 advert. So true. Loved the vomiting porn IE8 advert though. Such a shame that never made the UK!

So what adverts would you choose to include in a top 10 worst of all time tech adverts?

    Excellent article.

I must agree about the Microsoft Cloud advert. I thought WTF when I first saw that on TV.

The porn one was a bit odd. They would probably get into trouble for broadcasting that here.

The Commodore 64 advert is cool and didn't ought to have been in the list. Don't know about the A600 one though as that did seem rather boring.

I did find the Songsmith one quite good. Looks like a cool product. Also, the bloke who was tasked with making the advert for the glow in the dark towels seems to have a bit of resemblance to Barry Chuckle.

I couldn't watch the Songsmith one, when the girl started to sing, I had to stop straight away

What do you all think of the Microsoft ones where they change someone's house into a PC store?

Like the cloud ones, it just seems a bit daft and a bit pointless.

The Microsoft Cloud adverts made some of the least sense out of any IT advert to date. Woman sits down to edit some family pictures, announces she is going to the "cloud", the current PC setup rotates around to reveal... a very similar PC setup. It's like M$ are saying you will need to upgrade and change your hardware to access the cloud, whereas in reality cloud computing is meant to remove hardware requirements and turn your PC into more of a terminal to access the virtual content remotely. No sense at all.

I don't think it actually gives any indication of what a cloud is at all.
