Using USB thumbdrives as Hard Drives?

I tried using a usb thumb drive as a hard drive but WinUAE would only recognize it as a hard drive that I could not partition. Anyone gotten this to work for them?

I've not tried a thumb drive, but with a CF memory card, if the drive is already formatted for Windows FAT/NTFS then WinUAE might not always be able to add it as an Amiga drive because the host system is already using it. Try Googling to see if there is a way to clear the filesystem from the thumbdrive, so that WinUAE sees the drive as unpartitioned. That should then work.

If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!
