    E-UAE 0.8.25 for PS3

    Thought you guys would be very much interested in this new release.

    This runs on PS3s that have been jailbroken, or are running custom firmware. From my own experiences with it, it is pretty easy to use, although I would recommend getting FTP access to your PS3 to make transfer of files to your HDD possible. Althought with that being said, once the .pkg file has been installed it is possible to run adfs from both the HDD and via USB Storage.

    E-UAE for PS3 Features

    * 68000, 68010, 68020 processor cores
    * OCS, ECS and AGA chipset
    * amiga hi-res (720×576) graphics resolution in 32bit depth
    * joystick1, joystick2 (2nd joypad required) and mouse emulation
    * simple options dialog (supports switching of the disk files and more)
    * sound in 48000 kHz
    * keyboard emulation
    * support for loading zip and dms floppy images

    The start-up options are defined in a notepad-editable file, and most of the options are self-explanatory. As usual, I'd strongly suggest having a look at the ps3readme file included.

    Closing comments: Seems to run better than PSPUAE, but I have spotted a common bug between them on Dynablaster that affects the sound and skips through certain scenes.

    Yes, it is great to see UAE being one of the first emulators ported to the PS3 now the firmware has been cracked. Although with 3.56 it is locked down again, or you have to stick with 3.55 and accept no PSN account and PS Store access.

    They have found a way to restore PSN access for those who are willing to go to the hassle of routing their PS3's internet connection via their PC and rewriting the ssl certificates ;-)

    This emulator was actually the reason I decided to take the plunge and install CFW on my PS3, I stayed on 3.55 OFW for a while waiting to see if it were possible to hack 3.56 OFW or downgrade it.

    I heard Sony finally cracked the proxy server method of bypassing the 3.56 authentication methods last week, so that won't work now.

    They stopped the old DNS trick (involving just changing your DNS address to something else), but this method is practically new, is confirmed to work on CFWs, and has yet to be blocked by Sony, but the new method is a pain in the arse and way too much hassle IMO...

    Yanni, could you say how you did it for Aga?
    kick1.3 looks nice, and it works ok, but kick31 for a 68020/AGA emulation looks more difficult to setup.
    Try to change the settings but didn't work
