So what is an article exactly?

Tiago, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Articles are for the new front end CMS (content management system). The Welcome to Classicamiga page on the forum home page is an article for example.
The vB CMS works much like Joomla on the main site, with you able to create and edit articles to create a website. These are separate from the forums but linked together as you can promote a forum thread or post to an article to move it from the forum into the CMS front home section of the site. I think we will be able to use this to create news articles and sections about games and demo scene etc... We can all discuss and come up with ideas for this once I've fully completed the updates.
Also as part of articles are comments. Much like the main site again, with every article posted on here, members can then leave comments under them as a little discussion. At the moment though there is a bug in the vBulletin 4 software. Comments left for articles are stored in a hidden forum called "Members comments" that we should not be able to access directly. However at the moment, when new comments are left they are showing up as new posts to all members, so can be directly accessed. The developers are aware of this and will hopefully have it fixed for the next version 4.0.4 which is due the end of this month.
