    Recommend me some Amiga demos

    Hi all,

I'm starting to get into demos big time at the moment. I never really appreciated them back when I the A500+ as my only Amiga.

Can any of you recommend some decent Amiga demos. Doesn't matter about requirements (my highest spec Amiga is an A1200 w/ 68040 and 32MB RAM & 3.1 ROMs and my lowest spec Amiga is an A500 w/ 512KB RAM and 1.2 ROMs)

    Thanks again

I'll vote for Spaceballs' Nine Fingers and State of the Art, as well as Odyssey demo.

Here http://ada.untergrund.net/, you can find everything.

That Oddysey demo is bloody long!
The three you have mentioned are awesome demos, but I like the 9 Fingers demo the best of the three.
Those effects in the State Of The Art demo remind me of the Amiga program 'VideoTracker' that I used to mess around with.

Have a look on the main site in the demo section. And look at the rated demos. Some good ones there. PG also wrote some introductions to the demo scene and some recommendations for demos to check out. Worth a read.

If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!

I always take an Amiga of some sort to gaming events. The next event is the RCM (Retro Computer Museum) event in May. I plan to take an Amiga (as per usual) however, this event, although focusing mostly on gaming, there's a lot of people into retro computing in general. I've been asked a few times about if I have any demos and usually I don't (never was in to them as a kid) but now I'm getting more into demos, I want to show off what the Amiga can do, so anything that falls into that criteria will be appreciated.

I intend, once I've got quite a few together, to install them with WHDLoad (there's a load of installers for demos nowadays on the WHDLoad website) and have them running off my A1200T's hard drive.

Oh, I also struggled to get a download of the Jesus On Es demo from the site that was recommended earlier in this thread. It's listed, but no download link
