    Suggest me a nice game?

I'm looking forward to install one or more games to my laptop, but I didn't read any PC game magazines, and I simply have no clue what's good at the moment.

I won't play any FPS I think, but more some strategy or role playing games. Or perhaps I should now take the opportunity to finally play Fallout 1 & 2

    So my specs are:

    - Dual-Core T4200 (2.0 GHz, 800MHz FSB)
    - ATI Mobility Radeon HD4570 (512MB)
    - 4GB DDR3 Memory

But although it says on the sheet that the GPU is only DirectX 10.1 compatible, it shows DirectX 11 when running dxdiag?

Being the RPG fan that you are, you really have to play Dragon Age: Origins. It is one of the best PC RPGs in recent years. From Bioware and using a similar gameplay system to their previous RPGs such as Jade Empire and Knights of the Old Republic.

However, there have also been some other recent great releases. Some I think you will like which are mostly RPGs include:

    Mass Effect 2
    Divinity II: Ego Draconis
    The Last Remnant
    Kings Bounty
    Planet Alcatraz
    Risen

And going back a bit further in releases there are:

    Red Alert 3
    Dawn of War II
    Men of War
    Company of Heroes
    Supreme Commander
    Fallout 3
    Batman: Arkham Asylum

I know you don't like FPS that much but Bioshock 2 has been released this month, and with its amazing story and continuation from the first game it is worth a look at least.

Also Red Faction: Guerrilla is a sort of over the shoulder FPS with some amazing set pieces and lots of RPG elements.

And if you wanted to give any racing games a try there have been some great ones released recently including:

    Dirt 2
    Race On
    Need for Speed Shift
    Rece Driver Grid

And what about recent Football games?

    Fifa 2010
    Pro Evolution Soccer 2010
    Football Manager 2010

If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!

Ok, nice list, but I already have some of them for consoles:

    - The Last Remnant
    - Red Faction: Guerilla
    - Fallout 3
    - Batman: Darkham Asylum
    - Dirt 2
    - Grid
    - Fifa 10

And I think my GPU is not the most powerful for recent games. I should perhaps try with a bit older games. What about Heroes of Might & Magic V, or Age of Wonders 2, I like that kind of games. Or perhaps an older FPS like S.T.A.L.K.E.R, is that any good?

I didn't finish Bioshock yet, so I'm not gonna get the sequel yet, and if so, I would also prefer to have it on console again.

Or perhaps a nice space sim like Freelancer, which btw I didn't finish yet either. How's X3?

I also didn't play Dreamfall yet, perhaps now would be the time.

Also I like the UFO games, but the latest all got very bad reviews, but I still have Silent Storm, which I tested once, and wasn't that bad. Or The Fall?

I also still have Spellforce and Neverwinter Nights.

Try Lord of the Rings Battle for Middle Earth 2...

Really good game that is pretty well balanced and varied enough to keep your interest for sometime. (I have played it several times over and still enjoy playing the conquest scenario. (Can't remember exactly what it is called, but it is a RISK type conquest scenario) Similar to the old game Shogun: Warlord edition...

It is old enough that you should be able to run it on your machine and new enough to remain enjoyable..

Company of Heroes is also a really good one as well, but not certain it will run on your machine..
    ENJOY

Your GPU should be good enough to run most games. Maybe not on their highest settings, but good enough to get good visuals and a good framerate.

I still think you should try Dragon Age: Origins

    I got now:

    - Planet Alcatraz
    - Supreme Commander
    - Kings Bounts

I will download Dragon Age tomorrow at work and at least give it a try.

I'm not too much into the LotR games, but I also could at least try it, costs me nothing anyway

I believe you, but did you read my laptop's specs

And I always prefer to play games, that also come out for consoles, to actually play them on consoles, much more comfy

I would recommend Dragon's Age, that game is quite awesome and Fallout 3!
