    6-cell li-on laptop batteries

    Many low-end laptops come with 6-cell li-on batteries with a life of 2 - 3 hours.

Does anyone know if it is possible to swap out the lesser 6-cell and put in a better one with a longer life?

the only way you can do that is if you buy a bigger capacity battery from the manufacturer, OR the much more difficult way is to take apart your battery and replace the li-Ion cells inside with higher capacity cells. This requires that you understand where things are wired etc...check on youtube for examples.

And not all makers provide larger battery options for all of their laptop models.

Not sure I would want to try and mod my own battery to make to last longer. High risks of explosions or fire if you get it wrong.

If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!

Indeed there is, it's really a problem They should make it easy to upgrade your battery, that is one part of the laptop that easily gets run down!
