9 Pin joysticks on USB computers.

Just been on Lemon64 and some was asking about joysticks and someone else pointed out this nifty device. It allows you to use your miggy joystick on windows etc. The main site to but from is down at the moment but still it's a nice idea.

The Atari adaptor you linked to does work with Amiga joysticks, but it only supports one fire button afaik.

I use a different adapter by RetroZone, which has the usb hardware built into the plug, so it just looks like a cable with USB at one end and a 9 pin ATARI joystick port at the other. This works perfectly with Amiga, Atari, Sega and CD32 pads, and supports all buttons. Great little device. You can these, and adapters to use controllers from other systems such as NES and SNES from http://www.retrousb.com/index.php?cPath=21 I highly recommend these. Fast delivery from the US too.

The other cheaper alternative is to the Steller adapter or the build it yourself kit, is to do a bit of home hardware hacking, by taking any standard cheap PC USB joystick/joypad controller, take it apart and solder a 9 pin d-sub socket into it. And I personally would be more interested in an adaptor that lets me use a USB stick with the old Amiga 2000...

I don't think that is possible, but I could be wrong. Did you know that they started to remake Amiga Competition Pro joysticks for the Amiga again recently? You can buy them on Amigakit.com They also did a 2 stick bundle for some time.

And they made a USB version of the classic Competition Pro as well, so no need for an adapter. These can be found on Vesalia and probably other places as well.
