I watch the Freecycle listings regularly for such hordes and have yet to spot any really good ones like that. I even watch the Southampton one which I bet you got that lot through.

The C64 with disk drive and tape deck will be worth a bit. Maybe at least £50 to the right buyer. I know the disk drives are especially sort after. The STFM if in good working order and the drive works will be about £10-20.

If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!

If the 1541 is in full working order with all the cables that's about £35.00 the datasette will be about £10.00 and the c64's about £15-£20 (I know I've been doing a lot of looking since I got my 64C (I ended up getting a 1541-ii from germany for 30 Euros+18 for P&P and it still worked out cheaper than getting one from the UK.)).

I can't believe someone dumped all those goodies on Freecycle! You lucky git. As Harrison and Buleste have said, the 1541 disk drive is a real find. I gave up bidding for them on eBay and ended up with an compatible Oceanic drive.

You'll find you can keep food warm on that 1541 as the transformer sits inside it at the back and gets quite toasty!

And if you're really bored, you can compare how the two different SID chips in the 64 and 64C bang out your favourite game tunes.

It is a shame that the big C= decided to "Fix" the SID for the 64c. I was really disappointed when I loaded up IM and couldn't here Alvin shouting at me (I still need to find out how you refix the 8580).

You might find these service manuals handy if you have any problems with the Commodore hardware: http://www.devili.iki.fi/Computers/Commodore/

Buleste - I assume you can't just swap out the 8580 SID for a 6581 SID?

8580 is 9V and 6581 is 12V plus there are other minor differences that require a soldering iron a little more than it probably would to adapt a 8580 (and most 6581's run at frying egg temperature).
