I second that. I have a 5 year old external 50Gb 2.5" and still works as new. Main drive in the office for 3 years and now as a transfer disc, has rock solid performance.


I've got all my SATA disks Samsung brand for about 4-5 years and never had a problem with them. I'm currently in my 5th unit.
