Yep, SSDs are becoming more common now. You can currently get them up to 128GB in size, but they are expensive at the moment compared to 2.5" HDDs. Dell offer the option in some of their laptops, as do other makes.

4GB ram and 32bit Vista isn't such a good combination because you will only have access to about 3GB of ram and lose the remaining 1GB due to 32bit memory addressing. If you had 64bit Vista then all of the ram would be available.
Asus do however create some nice laptops.

Yea that's what this laptop came with unfortunately. I could have gotten the one with the 64 bit OS, but the RAM was down 2 2GB, and the HD was smaller...so really I could go get the new OS, but just wait til it's more stable.
