    Is the A4000/030 worth owning?

The A4000/040 seems to be more powerful, but is the A4000/030 worth getting? - Is it as upgradable as the 040? Ive been offered one you see so just wondering whether or not i should take up the offer or "hold out" until i find a A4000/040.

    Thanks
    Leo

The 030 and 040 versions of the A4000 are identical. The only difference is the processor daughter board which you can swap for an 040 or 060 at a later date.

So yes, get the A4000/030 as it is the same as the A4000/040 except for the CPU card.

If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!

Always worthwhile getting a A4000 due to the expandability (Costs a lot and the expansions are more rare than 1200 expansions but are much better). A3000's are worthwhile considering as well.

    Grab it if you can!

It's a great machine and very reliable. I've got and expanded A4000 since 1994 and it works like day one. Only problem so far? Had to replace the coin battery A 2 minute job!

    Absolutely
Get it! Hopefully there are some expansions in it that no one knows of
I have an A4000/030 wich has been upgraded to 040.
But I would prefer to use my 060 machine though..
