I'm currently downloading it on Usenet, has been released today. Seems that there are speculations if it's DVD9 or not, this release isn't, and many say it's the official one, so I don't know exactly.

Cool. Will grab this myself when I get home (currently using work internet connection ).
I've had that before, not knowing if the real game should be a DVD5 or DVD9 as I've found ISO's of both sizes for some games. I tend to look for feedback on torrents when that is the case to see reports from downloaders saying which is working and which is real.
If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!
I'm downloading this one now, as I still have a 106GB bank at Easynews. But there are already 7 comments discussing the release.
I'm downloading it from a torrent at the moment. Is a DVD5 US ISO and the comments say it works.

There's also a comment here who says it works, but some say that the video on the DVD9 release has been upgraded. Another one reports that it runs fine, and it doesn't seem for him, that something is missing.
My d/l has finished, so I will burn it tomorrow and test it, as I'm home until Tuesday. I saw now that it only has 3.73GB uncompressed, so no need for a DVD9. And if they ripped it to a DVD5, it would certainly be bigger.
Ok, I tested this version, and it works fine. Although I read that it crashes at end of level 7 boss, it's not the full version. The full version is a DVD9 and is also available, it's called Rogue_Galaxy_PROPER_USA_PS2DVD9-Start2.
EDIT: The graphics are very well made, the cel shading looks good. Battles are real time, and remind me a bit of Devil May Cry, as you push X for sword attack, O to jump and [] to fire your gun. I have played it for 30 min though, but it looks quite good.

That is annoying if the DVD5 version isn't the full one. I will therefore have to download the full DVD9 release to make sure I have the full one.

This version now has 6.97GB when extracted, so definitely a DVD9. I'll burn it now, and let you know if it works fine.
Cool thanks. If it does I will definitely be downloading it again so I know I have a proper copy.

This one works fine too. I patched it though, don't know if I had to, but as you can use the patcher anyway, I just did. If you want, I can give you the link to my zip-manager at easynews, so that you can d/l it immediately?
