PSP 3000 hacked

I never had much issue with the D-Pad and still use by phat PSP quite a lot. Although I don't tend to play many beat' em ups on it. Mainly RPGs and RTS genres.

But I did read in a review that they thought the D-Pad and nub were a bit stiffer and more responsive on the new 3000.

I also had problems with the D-Pad when playing C64 games, almost every time you fail to push diagonals, you instantly die.

Indeed they have, nice to see SONY have thrown all standards out the window again, but this time it has come back to bite em on the arse. I remember when they dumped the standard for scart sockets, and made AV1 an input and AV3 an output. Caused us loads of problems.

If I read right, the new screens scanned verticaly and not horizontal.

That is just class. Maybe SONY will go back and actually care about R&D instead of using other people tech. Most of sony's stuff are other companies just with their badge on it.

I dont hate sony, just their lazy attitude. Panasonic are the only company that still R&D everything they make, and never use other companies tech.

As this thread is now already a bit older, I'm wondering if there's already some custom firmwares for the 3000 models? I didn't look yet for it, perhaps someone here knows it, and how hard it would be to hack the thing.
