    Amiga DIY

I've created a new section on the Wiki called Amiga DIY

This is to showcase the best DIY Amiga projects in the Amiga Community.

    http://wiki.classicamiga.com/Amiga_DIY

I've created the first featured project page to get things started. This is featuring the Suzanne portable A600 and can be found at http://wiki.classicamiga.com/Suzanne

The source edit code from this page can now be copied to be used when creating additional featured DIY Amiga Projects. Included in this page layout is the Infobox, which has a template created specifically for this section. To use the Infobox in additional pages just copy the Infobox code section from the top of the Suzanne page's code and alter the details for the new page. Is quite straight forward from looking at the code what it does.

What other DIY Amiga projects do you think we should include? Do you have any you have done that you would like to show off in the Wiki?

One project I will be adding shortly (and already has a stub link from the main Amiga DIY page) is the A1200 in an A600 case project.

If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!

    DIY = Do It Yourself

Commonly used term for home improvement style projects. In the UK stores selling power tools, wood, paint etc are called DIY stores.

Yes indeed. That Amiga table is definitely something I want to add to the section at some point, along with the Amiga Music Jukebox from the same person.

Micronik Infinitiv A1200 Tower Case Project
    has now text and pictures.
I also add some [[ ]] for words like "a1200" ; "ide interface".
The only one working so far is the "ROMs" that goes to "roms explained"

Yes, we need to create the pages for things like A1200, 68030, IDE Interface etc... These can be added as we get time. These are also commonly linked to from many other pages too so are the next thing to work on.

I have Portuguese and Spanish people working with me, i ask to some of them if they know what is "DIY" project. None of them had idea what "DIY" was. Then i said that DIY was "do it yourself" and it make sence to all people.

What i want to say is that non-english internet users, are familiar with this term.
When i see it in wiki i didnt know too what it was.
Harrison, should you write "do it your self" after/before DIY? I think there will be a lot of people that would like to see "do it yourself projects" but will look for them in "hardware" or other place... simply because they dont know what is DIY.
I know it sounds very logical that DIY = Do It Yourself, but for a non-english user that is not familiar with that term, will not make the minimum clue.

OK. Fair enough. I've changed the menu to read "Amiga DIY (Homebrew Do It Yourself Projects)" which I think should cover everything.

I've also rearranged the list of projects and changed the headings.

I've also updated the IDE Interface page and renamed it "Buffered IDE Interface (A1200/A600)" as I also want to later on add details of an unbuffered IDE interface for the A4000. And both of these project pages will also be linked to the Hardware section of the Wiki.
