Was Another World strictly a platform game? It had many platform elements, but it was more an adventure in my view. Although I suppose you could say the same about Flashback. A case of games starting to cross genres.

If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!
[I]Earth is like a 24 hour, Seven days a week Stupidity contest which has been running for centuries.

I really love the platform game genre, I think it's my favourite out of all of them. I still can't decide which game is my favourite so I'll list a bunch of them.
Ruff 'n Tumble
Zool 1 & 2
Bubble 'n Squeak
Mr Nutz: Hoppin' Mad
Brian the Lion
The Chaos Engine
Lionheart
Leander
Whizz
Superfrog
Bubba 'n Stix
Wolfchild
Fire & Ice
James Pond: Robocod
There's so many more, but those are the ones that jump to mind first.
The Amiga rules!
Here's some of my favourites:
- Parasol Stars
Excellent two-player mode makes this a winner, but it's of course fun in one-player mode as well.
- Superfrog
One of the best platform games I've ever played. Nice detailed graphics, cool music, and fine gameplay. Also enjoyed the arcade minigame.
- Rodland
Like Parasol Stars, this game has a brilliant two-player mode.
- James Pond
Great game.
- Giana Sisters
Classic. Are we going to have a competition in this game soon?
- Damage
Brutal game from Finland. Keywords; Narcotics and baseball bat.
