Portable SNES

Wow! That looks really professional.

A nice finishing touch would have been to get the Nintendo and SNES/Famicon logo onto the front of the case under the screen.

The only inevitable downfall of this is how big the final unit is, and I'm betting it is quite heavy too with two batteries and the original SNES cart installed. Still, it is a great prject and it looks very professional. You would think (from the pictures) that it was professionally made.

Personally I'm just going to still to the PSP SNES emulator. Works well, I can have hundreds of games with me at once, and it is much smaller.

Wow, this looks great. What case did he use? Is it self built?

On the site he says he used a ZN-40 project enclosure from Polycase.com

He built this portable SNES on commission and he also lists the features as:

Original SNES buttons and controller mounted in case
Shoulder buttons on back positioned like triggers
Antiglare film layer on screen removed to increase sharpness of picture (and remove scratches)
AV & Headphone jacks
Charging jack
Internal lithium polymer batteries (two 3.7v 4250 mAh tied in series)
Badass handmade cartridge slot

So, as you can see it is fully portable with rechargeable batteries and it uses the original US SNES carts too.

Way too big to be truly portable in my view though. It must be heavy.

Definitely. Is the best emulator I've found so far for the PSP too.
