Who would like a PPC amiga?
I would, but I think they are a little too expensive at the moment.

Ever since the first PPC accelerator cards came out for the A1200 and A4000 I've wanted one. Sadly the price has always been the reason I've never actually bought one.
I voted for a classic Amiga with a PPC upgrade. This is because it offers the best compatibility with the PPC software I would want to run. There were later games and demos released that required a PPC CPU and I would love to be able to run them. It would also mean all native 68K Amiga software would also still be available.
Going for a AmigaOne or an OS4 compatible system would mean the lose of all legacy Amiga support other than via emulation. This would also mean most of the PPC demos and games released late in the classic Amiga's life would not run, and this is something that would be important to me.
A PPC only system running OS4 would be great to own, but it is sadly limited by the lack of proper development. It would therefore not be a good investment. If I had spare cash to just buy one and not worry then I might, but as of now I don't and I would not be able to justify the expense for the lack of return or use I would get from the system compared to a classic Amiga or a modern PC.
If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!
I would find it nice to have one, but I really don't have an utilization for it, and I'm pretty sure, that I'll never get one, so I voted for NO on this one.
I'm really thinking of getting a C-One, but also no real utilization for it too, but I'm tempted to get one.
Don't want to pay hundreds of pounds to buy one on ebay.
But if I could get a brand new PPC for my 1200, that would be great.
Supposedly the Shark will be out when OS 4.0 is released.
Wont hold my breath though.
I don't really know what I'd use one for, so I had to choose "no" as well.
In fact, I don't really know much about PPC Amigas at all.
My main purpose for getting an Amiga again (other than playing Frontier and Elvira) was for getting back into doing music remixing. On that basis I do not see how a PPC would benefit me, so I answered No as well.
The only main advantage of a PPC for music on the Amiga is the increased performance with Workbench and much faster access to the file system. Also with a big box Amiga (A2000/3000/4000) or a tower converted A1200 you also have the option of an additional Amiga supported Sound Card.

And you can run OS4...
And all the OS4 PPC software.
