Has anyone here ever reported an ebay item to ebay for breach of their item regulations?

I do this when I find someone trying to sell collections of emulators and roms on there.

But I'm wondering if ebay ever actually do anything about it. I get an email saying thank you for submitting the report, but when I've checked the sellers over a week later they are still on there selling the same pirate copies of games.

If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!

I have reported some items, and they dissapeared. I reported a few computers where they did 'keyword spamming' e.g. by putting G3 G4 MacBook Pro in the title of an lder powerbook (this seemed to be with big companies selling stuff and not people who specialise with macintoshes).

I also had someone report my auction and it got deleted because I said in the auction that I accepted cash.

I remember buying a Pink PSP (for my daughter) got all the way to 1 min left, and I was winning bid. Then 1 min later I clicked on my profile to pay, cause I knew I had won and it told me that the aution had been deleted by EBAY.

Turned out she got a word wrong and someone reported her. Anyways, she was great, and still sold it to me for last bid I made, .
On news of PSPUAE update on DCEMU came this reply, lol.

I am not all that fussed about games, but what really peeves me is hiding the cost in postage. i.e. a guy was selling a DVD player / Recorder a while back... with a buy it now of £4.99, in the UK this guy is btw. so how much you thinking postage....

okay.... hold onto your coffee...... £89 postage.... just viewing this auction i was infuriated so i messaged the guy.... if i could collect the time item... and get this...

he said yes but he couldn't let it go for anything less than £80.. WTF!

so i explained he was circumventing ebay rules, and reported him... yet they did bugger all.... i was watching the auction to the end... and eBay did nothing...

In the back of my mind i kept thinging what if some old doris thought that would make a wonderfull present and not notice the PnP?! fecking outrageous... so every time i see an over inflated PnP i report it to ebay..

Now thats a great ending... Glad that you guys sorted out deal.. thats some good eBay'ing for sure.

A while back I was selling a baby suit (unassembled bed/cot and wardrobe all pine) and one lass bid on it and won £105 i think it was, anyway as we were arranging delivery via pickup from her family, it turns out that they had already bought her one as a surprise....

now i could of been a bastard and stated she should still pay etc etc... but instead i contacted ebay and they suggested to fill out a non-payment agreement form thingy... well anyway i ended up out of pocket listing fees... how fair was that?

Still i put it back on ebay, and this time it sold for £150 whoot

Now that i am thinking about it i remember, my wife had damaged her Quake 4CD, although she has a key etc. I looked on EBAY to replace it, as ID softweare wanted £14 + delivery for a repleacment.

will i found one for £4.99... image of the game etc... all looked nice, and the guy had good feedback....

when i got the disk it was a fecking blaggg with a code scrawled on it!!!!!

I handed it into the police, and informed ebay.... they did NOTHING.... clearly they didn't care.

I informed PayPal and they sent me back the 4.99, but still.... its an outrage to think some one can honestly believe they could pull that off....

heres a good chuckle... Judge Judy V's Ebay Scammer man does she lay-down the law!
