I use a separate HD for general files and it is currently using about 460GB out of 1TB.
You definitely have a retro system their Submeg.
This system also has 3 more 500GB HDs for other stuff (system HD, Installed Games etc...)
If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!

Mine is only 1.11GB.
I just checked my actual My Documents directory and it is about 800MB. I don't really use it for anything except for things like the current wallpapers that I'm using.
But quite a few programs and games have started to use My Documents in the last couple of years to save their config files and save game files in. I suppose it makes it easy to locate what you need to backup so in that regard it is quite a good idea. Except, if like me you install all of your games on a different HD it can be annoying to then have stuff from those programs automatically start using space on the system HD.

I just checked mine and it is 390MB, but it appears that the biggest files in there are just a very big bitmap image and a backup of some other files which i store in other locations.
I don't really use My documents for anything really.
I keep almost everything in there, all apart from: games, audio stuff, uni stuff. The rest, in my documents because they are all documents/files of randomness!

I was about to say that I don't use my My Documents folder much either, and that's why it was only xx MB big (Music, Videos, Photos etc. are stored on other hard disks and anything that started life on my desktop is in a great big folder on my desktop) but when I went to check:
44GB?! No wonder I never have any hard disk space left...
