    That looks very nice.

How easy is it to install custom themes on the PSP? I've not tried to do this yet. What is needed?

Items needed: PSP, cable and theme

    Process:

Create a THEME folder in MS0:\PSP\ (if you don't have one)

Copy relevant ptf and png files to THEME folder.

Go to Theme Settings on PSP XMB and select chosen theme.

    Voila!!!

Really? I thought you had to hack some of the psp flash rom files to completely customise the PSP XMB.

I sense that Sony obviously paid attention to some of the custom firmware ideas being bounced around, and allowed you to install custom themes with the later firmwares.

Creating custom themes however, is WAAAAY beyond my meagre skills to explain

Ah! Just read up on the custom themes and I will need to upgrade my PSP firmware. I'm still running 3.52 M-33 and the theme support isn't built in until 3.70. I might do that today.

Is 3.90 M-33 the current newest custom firmware?

As far as I know, what with the speed that the custom firmware makes its appearance after the official one, 3.90 M-33 is the most current.

Mind you, at this rate it wont be long before the custom firmware comes out BEFORE the official one.

I know a simple 'yes' would have sufficed, but that wouldn't really be good enough to get nominated for Poster Of The Month!

Aye, 3.90 M33-3 is the latest 1 from DA. The best so far, , as the network update looks for DA's updates and you dont have to do anything, its all fully automated.

PTF themes only work on firmwares above 3.71, but with the new theme creator, themes with tvout icons need firmwares above 3.80.
