    Amiga 600 - What do you consider a fair price?

    Have been thinking of purchasing an Amiga 600, but I'm a bit unsure about what the prices are. What should I expect to pay for a machine in good shape? Thanks in advance for answers.

    hmmm i can be quite stingy, so this is what i would say

    A500 / A500 + £5 - 10
    A600 = £10 - 20
    A1200 = £20 - 35
    A1000 = £20 - 40
    A2000 = £60
    A3000D = £80
    A4000D = £100

    see... told you I was a skin flint... this obviously does not include postage.

    Thanks for the info, Zetro. The price you listed doesn't seem bad at all. Definitly affordable! Will do an advert at AmiBay for this one.

    Yep! Definitely a skin flint!

    From my experience of watching sales of Amigas over the years I would say a boxed good condition A600 with an HD installed is currently worth about £40. But that is ebay prices. AmiBay prices are normally lower, as they are Amiga fans selling to Amiga fans after all, so I would go with £20-30.

    I would however say the big box Amiga prices are way out. The A1000 is quite a rare system these days and will normally fetch £200+, and the A3000 is possibly now the rarest of them all (unless you count tower systems) and can fetch over £300 if in very good condition. A2000's are not so popular any more, although they are very expandable, and do still go for over £100 often. And finally the A4000. These are still worth over £250 in good condition with full compliment of ram installed.

    And as always, prices start to shoot up once extra hardware is included.

    If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!

    @Harrison

    Heys H, welcome back

    now the prices i have quoted are only for vannila models, pure stock, in reasonable, yet aged condition.

    if you are willing to accept lesser condition one could pick them up cheaper still. obvously the more you want on it, and better condition the more that item will financially command
