Official WinUAE site down

I've just noticed that the official winuae site, http://www.winuae.net is offline.

I did some digging and discovered that the Back2Roots server is used to host this site, and this announcement has been made regarding Back2roots on the EAB forums.

Back to the Roots - Fallback Server Our main server which runs www.back2roots.org and ftp.back2roots.org
and also acts as a proxy frontend server for all hosted projects
including winuae.net and chiptune.de is down for a while.

To not lock your download needs we have set up a temporary access
point where you can access most of our services and all hosted
projects from our secondary server: http://hosted.back2roots.org/

please note that we have no fallback solution for the FTP server
and the modradio server, these are plain too big for our secondary
server\'s disks. This will hopefully change in future.

We try to keep the downtime as short as possible. Sorry for the
inconvenience of temporarily having to deal with this slower server.

That is shown as being posted on 28th December 2007, but I have the feeling it is older and has just been moved on that date as I'm sure I read that a long time ago.

The continued flaky nature of the back2roots server was bad enough when it was just their own site being effected, but now that it has also taken the official winuae site down, I think it is a bit out of order that the owners of the server have not made an official announcement about this.

I hope winuae.net is going to be back up very soon. If not I am more than willing to offer them the ability to host the WinUAE site on the classicamiga server so it can stay online.

While the main WinUAE site is down you can access the latest files from their official Sourceforge page found at http://sourceforge.net/projects/winuae/

As an update, you can currently access the WinUAE site using the alternative URL http://winuae.back2roots.dyndns.org/

Definitely not such a nice URL to have to remember compared to the official one.
