I tried them all, and the easiest to run is without any doubt Lemonade. It also looks good and has a lot of information stored about the games. I wanted to try GameBaseAMI but haven't still done it, I'm only running GameBase64 which also works very good. I have to add that the GameBase frontends do NOT use the same game names that they actually have in the TOSEC. You have to change them or just download the complete GameBase set of the wanted format, which I also have done for GameBaseAMI, you find a torrent or a ed2k link.
While GameEx is a very nice frontend, I haven't used it much as there is many configuration to do before running it, and I didn't have the patience to do so far. And the frontend is constantly updated which is a good sign.
I don't know MAGE yet, so I'm also waiting for it to come. Do you have a link?

There isn't much information about MAGE yet. EAB has a sub forum for the project here, but most of the threads in that are still talking about GameBase. And the MAGE developers, Belgarath and eLowar have said that although the project isn't abandoned there is still some way to go before any firm announcements or releases.
If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!

GameBase Amiga is the best for sure (totally unbiased opinion)...
And for those people who voted for Lemonade....
I can only assume you've not tried GameBase Amiga and therefore haven't a clue what you're missing!
