    No Country For Old Men

Starring: Tommy Lee Jones, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem
    Seen at: Home, Blu-ray

This, on the other hand, requires a bit more thought in order to fully enjoy.

"After stumbling across a case of money among dead bodies, Llewelyn Moss thinks he can keep it quiet, but when silent killer Anton Chigurh locates Moss and his money, Vietnam veteran Moss makes a run for it. With bodies falling everywhere Anton goes, it's only a matter of time before he catches up with Llewelyn. Whilst all this is going on, Sheriff Ed Tom Bell is overseeing the investigation and begins to see the country in a different light than it once was."

Javier Bardem is incredible in his role as the main antagonist - a sociopathic killer that feels absolutely no remorse as he relentlessly chases after his target, leaving a path of death in his wake. Had Heath Ledger not played the role of the Joker in the latest Batman film, I think this guy would've done an equally great job. Some scenes were simply unnerving.

    There Will Be Blood

    Starring: Daniel Day-Lewis
    Seen at: Home, Blu-ray

I was impressed with Daniel Day-Lewis in his role as Butcher Bill in Gangs of New York, so I was curious to see how he'd fare in this movie. Suffice to say, he's again delivered a star performance. Definitely one of the best character actors at the moment.

"In the 1890s, Daniel Plainview, a struggling silver miner, finds his true wealth in petroleum extraction while taking the orphaned child, H.W., as his own for a valuable family man image. In 1911, Plainview gets a tip on a valuable supply on the struggling Sunday family ranch in the impoverished Little Boston, California. In his quest to acquire the property, Plainview meets the sanctimonious Eli Sunday, the young reverend of the local church with his own ambitions for his diocese and the profit from the oil. As the oil wells begin, an escalating conflict arises between exploiters of many kinds while Plainview's canny ruthlessness gradually sinks into a slowly mounting malevolent madness. In doing so, it begins to drive every emotional bond away that all the wealth he gains can never replace."

It's a very slow-paced movie, but definitely worth a watch for the stellar performances.

I watched There Will Be Blood last week on TV, and I kinda liked it. Daniel Day-Lewis does indeed a great performance. I'll rate the movie 7.5/10.

Watched Click with Adam Sandler on Saturday and the best I can give it is probably 4/10.

The concept is a good one. Being given a remote control that allows you to control every aspect of reality and your life. However quite early on in the film it becomes quite clear that it is obviously a rip off of It's a Wonderful Life and this makes the rest of the film completely predictable and quite boring.

If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!

I agree with Click, it's just another "not so funny" Adam Sandler movie.

The problem with Adam Sandler is that he can be really good in some films, but equally really bad in others. No consistency in his acting at all. And definitely more bad films than good!

But I think the script was what let this film down more than Sandler himself. There were enough great actors co-starring alongside him in Click and yet none of them really shone. Christopher Walken for example is a great actor, and Kate Beckinsale has made some great films too.

About the only redeeming feature of the whole film is getting to see David Hasselhoff paused and beaten.

The only actor who i thought did put in a good performance was Henry Winkler.
