    Hey guys,

Sorry to bring this issue up again but I haven't got a clue which version I have to download from Pleasuredome as they offer a load of torrents, some of which seem to be insanely big.

    Could someone direct me please?

It's the free one, which is about 15GB big. It's simply called [FREE]MAME 0.122 I think, I cannot reach PD through Websense from here. Do not d/l the updates or rollbacks. I thought you already downloaded a complete set?

If you already have an older fully set Ghost, then just select the newest current full MAME set, which as DC said is the [FREE] MAME 0.122 one, and when you open it in uTorrent, or any other torrent client you are using, then point the location you wish to save the files in at your current older set. The torrent client will compare your current files against those in the new torrent and work out what it needs to download to update your existing MAME set to the current one. Therefore you will only download the differences, which in this latest set is only about 200MB.

I think I downloaded MAME V 0.122 itself yesterday from the MAME developer site but I did not download any roms with it.
I still had a few roms to try it out with.

MAME itself is just the emulator. The complete MAME set is the full set of every game rom that the emulator supports. Therefore to gain access to ever game you will need to download the rom set in addition to the actual emulator.

However did you just download MAME? If so this is a commandline version. It is better to download MAMEUI32 as it will give a proper frontend to the emulator.

    Hello Harrison,

Dammit, this is why I find this so frustrating. I barely have a clue of what to look for and when I do the knowledge only stays for a short while with me before I loose it again.
I also had that with WINUAE, making it impossible for me to have fun with emulators.

It is easy with MAME though. No matter how many of the supported roms you have, when you run MAMEUI it audits the roms and you can list those you have in the Available section of the frontend. Very easy to use and run.
