Oh yes, still the old Guru messages. All great fun.

But, these days you can install pretty much all Amiga games onto an internal HDD using a clever program called WHDLoad, and that removed such issues most of the time, plus games load near instantly with no floppy disks needed.

If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!

WHDLoad rulez! Not having to rely on floppies for gaming on the Amiga is a blessing.

I think if there ever was an award for the greatest invention/development in the Amiga world in recent years it would have to go to WHDLoad. It breathed new life into Amigas for me. As you say no need for floppies, so an A1200 can become a standalone retro gaming system with everything to hand and ready to run. No media needed.

You've seriously got me started now. I've downloaded WINUAE - will let you know how I get on idc. Looks a bit scarey, so will probably need some help. Other than the psychiatric, of course, which I'm not disputing (but then a youth misspent messing around with Amigas, motorbikes and keyboards which required 'system exclusive dumps' - I kid you not - will do that to you.)

    ;-)

WOW! - That's a serious stack of floppies fella.
Getting 0ld0r is mandatory - Growing up is just an option.

I know lol, the stack on the left side are all brand new blank ds/dd disk's that I bought for £40. The rest are all backup games and software.
