    The Bourne Ultimatum

... is a must-watch. As is the entire trilogy. It's rare enough for film trilogies to work, but they've done it wonderfully with this one. Anyone seen the entire series yet? What did you think?

I think James Bond should've been Jason Bourne, definitely. Even the name is similar.

    "The name's Bourne. Jason Bourne."

Just one note of caution: if you're going to watch it on the big screen, do NOT sit at the front row, or you will run the risk of epileptic seizures. I'm not kidding you.

I like the first 2 ones, but didn't see the last one yet, but looking forward to it.

I've now seen Ultimatum and thought it was great. Something vary rare in movie trilogies is that this third part maintains the same energy and style as the previous two films, but changes the story enough so that it isn't just the same thing over again.

And they managed to incorporate some of the trade mark action of the series again, including some great car chases, leaping across roof tops and through windows, and fight scenes using improvised weapons.

I agree regarding sitting too close. I was sat at the back of the cinema and the action is so fast in some of the fight scenes that even at the back my eyes were having trouble keeping up!

If there is one thing, I think they could have explored his relationship with Nicky slightly more. Although it has left us guessing to the future even more. Julia Stiles definitely looks great in this film.

As good as the original? Not quite. For me there is something about Bourne Identity that makes it slightly better than the two sequels.

If you haven't played a classic game in years, it's never too late to start!

I enjoyed Ultimatum quite a lot, but I tink my expectations were too high as it didn't quite live up to the praise I had heard elsewhere. Still, a very very good film. I think that I liked the first one so much as it caught me by surprise - I thought it sounded a bit crappy but a friend convinced me to go and I was massively impressed.

I think my favourite fight scene in the series is the one with all the pen-stabbing fun

Although you can't beat the Pen killing scene in Gross Point Blank.

There's also a pen stabbing scene in Casino with Joe Pesci.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. Casino is another great film. Although slightly too long maybe.

And in the Running Man, when Arnie has to sign the contract.

(I've only seen Grosse Point Blank once and it was ages ago. Remind me of that scene).

It's when they have just got to the school reunion and the hitman is after him. He chases him through the school until they reach a corridor full of lockers. They fight and he finally kills him by stabbing him in the neck with a pen. He then takes down one of the big reunion banners and rolls the dead guy up in it.

The end shoot out in the house with Dan Aykroyd is another great scene too. Shooting at each other across the breakfast bar while negotiating contracts.

Grosse Pointe Blank is still one of my favourite films. I can't believe it is now 10 years old!

It's been years since I last saw Grosse Pointe Blank. Think I lent the tape to someone and never saw it again . I'll have to download a copy and watch it again, great film.
