Brilliant, thanks.
But I haven't written anything for the Amiga yet. Actually all I have at the moment is a little incomplete object that doesn't compile.
Do you know where to find people that...
I'm writing a library (for linux at the moment, but I'd like to see it compile and run on other platforms too) that lets a user (user of the library, i.e. a programmer) to load binaries into a...
Hmm, I'm not so sure I want to now... well I'll think about buying a broken one and using that one. Are broken A600s and empty cases with keyboards easy to find?
I am using Linux as my main operating system (since Windows 95, I have never actually had Windows installed on my own computer, save to try XP out – it quickly got deleted.)
At the moment I use...
I barely use my A600 any more, but I didn't want to sell it give it away because it's such a lovely computer! It's so cute and small, and it has a decent keyboard (important for me). Then I thought,...
I sussed it :)
When the adress is direct, there's a command which says "asl.w #$1,d2". this basically doubles the adress, so that this number is the adress in bytes, like the 68k does it, not words...
Thanks! It's cool to be learning it! It's always good to learn something new.
Maybe there's another 68k board somewhere on the net someone could suggest to me?
Hello there everyone!
I'm just beginning to dabble along with 68k assembler. I've been doing it on and off since friday and I've come up with a simple sumpink for emulating the CPU of the PDP-8....
and only thirty years ago people were still weaving core memory by hand. And 16 bits of memory would cost you the modern equivalent of £1.
I haven't tried UAE because it needs to get the ROMs from somewhere . . . not being able to transfer anything between Amiga and PC I can't get them.
Unless, of course, nudge nudge, wink wink...
So I tried to mount onto the Amiga a 720k floppy, which I think is double density, having covered up the little hole and everything.
Sam: mount PC0:
Mig: Device "PC0:" not recognised.
Sam:...
Does anyone know how to do this?
I have just downloaded an assembler and I'm itching to try it out :)
I thôt I could just dd it over (dd is on linux like what pip is on VAX VMS) but it didn't...
I have about two or three hundred in the cupboard and another twenty-odd that I use most in a small earl grey box near my computer. Well, the box broke, so like my Amiga I fixed it with a beer can.
...
This afternoon I fixed the problem.
I confirmed that the interference was indeed coming from the internal hard disc, and I then made a small reflective shield out of a beer-can, facing the shiny...
Jonas!
I was going to contact you, but I lost your e mail address!
So, my system is pretty much a straight A600. There's nothing really special about it, except that it has a hard disk, an...
Hello there lads and lasses,
I haven't been on this forum for a while because of my exams, but now I'm back and back down in da hood!
So, I recently bought myself an A600 and a few bits and bobs,...
